I am a math content specialist and I work primarily with middle and high school students. I tutor all grades of middle school math as well as Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Statistics, and Pre-Calculus.

In addition to math tutoring, I offer subject tutoring and homework help in English, Spanish, History, and Science. I also provide Executive Functioning support for students struggling to balance their academic course load.

Even students who are excelling in the classroom benefit from one-on-one support. I have extensive experience working with highly-gifted students who may not be adequately challenged by their school’s curriculum. I work with students to expand their critical thinking and logical reasoning skills in order to increase their academic potential and cultivate a love for learning. Depending on the subject area, I incorporate advanced math challenges, logic puzzles, and creative writing assignments.

Parents often contact me when they’ve identified fundamental learning gaps in their children. I help students build a strong foundation so they can continue to learn new material with a greater sense of understanding.

Unlike test prep courses where all students are taught the same lessons, I provide a customized approach to SAT preparation. After analyzing a student’s diagnostic test (and/or PSAT score report), I create an individualized study plan focusing on the student’s weak spots. This allows us to prepare for the exam as efficiently as possible and maximize score potential.

Standardized tests can be a huge source of stress. Luckily, they are highly predictable. My goal is to help students become so familiar with these tests that there are no big surprises on test day. My test prep lesson plans focus on decoding the structure of the exam and incorporating test taking strategies in order to maximize each student’s score potential.
